kimberly tibbs, M.Ed.
founder/ceo
Born in Atlanta, GA, Kimberly R. Tibbs graduated from Clark Atlanta University, earning a BA in Mass Communications. Mrs. Tibbs holds a Georgia Educator Certification in Early Childhood Education and Middle Grades for Language Arts and Social Studies from Mercer University. Mrs. Tibbs obtained a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Coppin State University.
After a successful 20-year career in the Marietta City School System and DeKalb County School System, Kimberly expanded her passion for educating and developing youth by founding a non-profit organization for young women. Glowing Girls Inc. (GGI) focuses on education, empowerment, and forward-thinking for girls in and out of the foster care system. In eleven years, the GGI organization has impacted thousands of girls and operates three Chapters in Georgia.
Kimberly is a speaker, an advisor on multiple non-profit boards, and a thought leader. As a co-founder of Kingdom Dominion Church and a strategic planning team member, her vast experience touches the young and the mature. Mrs. Tibbs is the wife of Bishop J. Calvin Tibbs, Ph.D., mother of two daughters, a son, and four granddaughters!
