About GGI

In 2011, Glowing Girls, Inc. began as part of a church ministry seeking to combat many of the ills and challenges facing young women ages 11-18. As the ministry's progress and the community's needs continued to expand, systematic steps were taken to achieve a greater impact. GGI Atlanta formally became a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization in 2014, with the intention of impacting girls worldwide.

For over a decade, GGI has served girls within and outside the Georgia foster care system through conferences, mentoring, and community initiatives that affirm self-worth and cultivate leadership. Girls are coached on insights that support strong self-worth as an essential element in today’s changing and challenging world.

“When I was younger, I was bullied and that caused me to have low self-esteem. Although I have a high self-esteem, that still weighs on me from time to time. Today taught me that I am not the status quo. I am not what he or she perceives to be beautiful or popular. I am beautiful and unique.”
